In this series we size up the Professional Security Technician, and then get into his toolbox, here we will find all sorts of tools from basic to specialize. We will then get deeper into the uses of some of these tools, and breakdown the proper techniques when using them. Knowing how to use particular tools can be the difference of getting a job or passing it over. In this series of videos, you will learn how to use these tools and techniques, in perspective of a Security Professional.
When first opening a Security Professional’s toolbox you will find a large assortment of different tools. You will find some basic tools, such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, level, knives, pencils, wrench, plyers, sockets, pry-bar, magnet, saw, files, etc... If you dig deeper into those tools, you will also find some electric or cordless tools, as well, such as a cordless drill & screwdriver, saw, rotatory drill, reciprocating saw, Dremel tool, etc... But the tools that technician values the most, are the specialty tools that take specific training in order to operate them such as, multi-meter, probe & tone tracer, soldering iron, compression crimpers, technical wire strippers, network tracer, magnifying glass, tech screwdriver, glow rods, and even a laptop.
