Hello, Welcome to “TheSecurityProfessor.com/ MyCEUs.com” (TSP)! TSP is an online community/network specifically for the security industry. Whether you are and Owner, Management, Admin, Sales, Installer, Tech, Apprentice, Manufacture reps, and even State/Government admin (AHJ), you are welcome in this community. TSP is put together by all of the above, in order to broaden the communication and education across our industry. We offer a place where it is as easy as pulling out your phone/laptop and logging in. Once logged in, you have the industry at your fingertips, everything from, industry Calendar, CEU’s, Certification Courses, Newsletters, Video Blogs on different products, you can also chat between other professional members, suggestions to & from manufactures or AHJ, and even purchase security products, with membership discounts. Grow to higher levels of membership, and earn perks, based on referrals, time on site, CEUs completed, Certifications acquired, technical input (Blog/Video), and by purchasing through site. Being a part of the TSP community, has its perks! Either joining as a security staff professional, or the vendor side of the business. TSP is the Hot Spot in the industry! Here we have opened the doors to the whole security network, to communicate amongst each other, share new products, video demonstrations by manufacture reps, other Pro members, and even by “The Professor” himself! The State/Government/AHJ, will also be welcome to be a part of the community/network, as a ‘leader membership’. Every state is different, but having rules is, across the board. Having AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) members is a privilege to us all. Being so, any member has a direct connection to the ear, of the guys making and enforcing the rules. Whether it’s a suggestion, a concern, or even the next great idea, no one has thought of, our membership network is a benefit to all! Video

Blogs (Vlog) – in my career I have realized that some of the easiest ways of learning was on You Tube videos, produced by every-day guys that have an inclination in their field. At TSP, our professionals work with Manufacture Reps to make short Video clips explaining their products, and how they are used. We also demonstrate tips and tricks submitted by vendors and Professional Members. TSP encourages and rewards members that submit new ideas, and videos of their Tips & Tricks.

CEU Courses – TSP offers many choices of CEUs for the Security Professional online, at their convenience! In most states CEUs are required; you have to be scheduled to a live class, or even a convention, to earn your credits. This can be hard to accomplish, especially now with the COVID – 19 ‘prevention era’. With live classes and conventions, not only do you have to worry about infection, you also have to take off work. If you’re an employer sending your staff to get required hours, you might be getting “free credits” at times, but you are likely paying for the attending employee’s pay-role, and gas, you are also responsible for your staffs liability ‘the whole trip’ to and from class/convention. As you might know conventions are also are known to serve alcohol (just saying). Who even knows when the next conventions will be allowed? Fortunately, online CEU courses are the way to go! For a small expense, which is easily written off, you can take your course by yourself, or in small groups amongst piers, at your office or even individually at their own homes.

Certification Courses – Certification Courses are defiantly a must in the Security Industry. Either you are taking courses at your own expense, to better your resume’, or maybe your financing an employee’s course to fill a position, or just to progress to the next level. Either way, TSP is here for you! TSP offers a wide array of security courses. become certified in any course from Sales and Design, Level 1 tech, Level 2 Tech, Special locking, CCTV, Gates, Bank Locking Auxiliary, Bank Locking Specialist, and Detention locking (and many more to come). Take your course at your own pace, at the comfort and safety of your home, or office. We also reward individuals or corporate members with discounts on courses. You can earn discounts in many ways, including Just being a member! You can earn additional discounts as easy as accruing time, navigating through our site, as well as earning points for every Course or CEU purchased. You will also automatically earn a CEU credit for each hour of the individual courses, ‘minimal hours required’. i.e. (Alarm Technician Level 1 Course has a minimal hour requirement of 16 hours. Passing the course you will receive Certification and 16 hours of CEUs credits to be used the first year towards certified tech. (Credits for particular tech cannot be traded, or used by others)

Newsletters – TSP will send out monthly, bi-monthly, weekly or even seasonal Newsletters, with a wide array of topics to our members, so that they are always up-to-date with our growing industry. These Newsletter will be posted on our page to accommodate our frequent members. We will also email them to all users, (unless they opt out), so that everyone stays informed. These Newsletters will include various information, acquired from AHJs (in individual states)i.e rules, administrative updates, Manufactures i.e. new and changing products, coupons for classes and their products, Distributors, i.e advertisements, Coupons for their products, and classes, etc…

Communication – at TSP, Communication is the glue that keeps our network thriving! Members are able to not only chat between other members; they can also chat with, or ask questions from, local AHJs, participating vendors, and even “The Professor”. Members will also be able to follow other members, and vendors, they can also be followed themselves.(Like Instagram) Just by logging into site, a member can see what other members are currently logged on. They can also leave messages for members, AHJs, and vendors. Members will also earn points for the time they stay on site, amount of interaction, directly from vendors, or even from “The Professor”. 

Membership – Membership is easy, and better yet FREE! To become a member is as easy as enrolling to join, that’s it. Once enrolled each member gets their own progress widget & profile page. The progress widget page allows member to see their progress, and personal achievements, all tallied. TSP keeps a count of how many courses, post, messages, hours on site, certificates and achievements. There are multiple tiers a member can accomplish. Each tier promotes the status of the member, while increasing their benefits/discounts. The tiers start with “newbe” and grows automatically, simply by interacting with others, getting followed, adding post & pics, being liked by others, participating in polls, and completing courses. The highest tiers are eventually, “Guru”, and even “Professor”! On your profile page you will be able to add your picture, or emoji. You will also be supplied a tally of your followers, and who you are following, your post, plus there likes, on your own personal page.

Vendor Pages –  at TSP members will be able to hover between vendors, and select links that will bring them to their specific page. Once on the vendors pages the member will be able to scroll through product videos, speck sheets, install guides, as well as purchase their products. The vendor page will be like a virtual information & product store. Members could also request to chat or receive technical support.

Rewards – TSP is like a ‘Social engine, with benefits!’ With no effort, other than using the site, a member can accumulate points for numerous things, such as subscribing to newsletters, chatting with others, following and being followed, hours on site, courses taken, post liked, the mount of likes by others, how many answered polls, etc... Our site administrative department, keeps records, of all these task and builds a point system for each. Each member when logged in can see there accumulated information at any time.

Virtual Conventions – Here we have “The KICKER”, Virtual Conventions! This is where we have the opportunity to give our members FREE CEUs without the worry of travel, expenses or liability, We can even supply attendees with free lunch delivery by supplying either a cater to feed a company’s attending employees or, giving a credit to each individual participant, for a participating lunch delivery service (i.e. Waitr)(lunch coupons will be given to attendees that accrue at least 8 CEUs at convention) . At Virtual Conventions, we can offer the members a fun educational experience. We will start the Convention with an introduction to TSP, and participating distributers/venders. Each participating Distributers/Vendors will be required to provide a 1 or 2 hour Live CEU class with a fun quiz, attendees could win prizes and end of convention, for scoring highest on quizzes, by instructors. The member will be able to pre choose the CEU classes they wish to take. This class, will be an opportunity for each vendor to educate members on general types of technology, (i.e. Digital CCTV technology , NVR Networking, Security Sales, Alarm Panel Basics, Commercial Alarms, etc…) . We will then allow 10min break before starting the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, hour class. After forth hour class, we will give recognition to the “Lunch sponsoring vendors”. During this hour we post different vendor’s products, as attendees eat (one hour CEU during lunch). After lunch the 3 more, one hour CEU classes will begin. After all classes are completed we will end Convention with a couple hours of prizes, and raffles, for attendees that stay tuned (on site) hovering through vendor, who’s icons will be on screen. Attendees will be able to jump around through all vendors, earning raffle points and giveaways, by asking vendors questions about their products, and/or even accepting subscriptions to individual vendor’s mailing list. The virtual convention will end with awards from vendors and raffle prizes. Some courses, during the day, will be supplied by the State/Government/AHJ, concerning Administrative Updates.

Marketing - Now that we have all of these security professionals, of all sorts, all in one place, it’s only natural that employers, distributors, vendors, educators and even security professionals would like to post their information all on their own individual pages. This gives the employers an opportunity to describe their company, and maybe even post job openings. We call this ‘Targeted Marketing’! Just like the vendors can advertise their merchandise, distributors can advertise to employers, employers can advertise to security professionals, even other education companies can post their courses (i.e. Bezou Security Academy). This whole group of advertisers gives the security professionals, of any level, an opportunity to shop job openings, make relationships with distributors, and see all the vendors’ products, and even sell them.
